🔥 Overview

The Dragon Egg just sits there by default — a decoration with no real meaning. DragonEggTracker changes that.

The moment a player picks up the egg, the entire server knows. They become the owner, gain powerful buffs, and can be hunted down using a craftable Tracker Compass that always points to the egg's location. Every placement, pickup, and drop is tracked and persisted across restarts.

⚡ Features

🧭 Tracker Compass

Craft a special compass that always points to the Dragon Egg, no matter where it is.

• Uses Minecraft's native lodestone mechanic — zero performance impact
• Configurable update interval
• Optionally disable tracking while the owner is offline

📣 Pickup Announcement

When someone claims the egg, the entire server is notified with a customizable broadcast and the Ender Dragon's roar.

• Fully configurable message with %player% placeholder
• Sound effect toggleable in config

✨ Egg Holder Buffs

The egg owner gets rewarded for holding their trophy — and loses everything when they drop it.

• Configurable extra hearts
• Configurable potion effects (Strength, Fire Resistance, etc.)
• Buffs are removed automatically when the egg is dropped or the player logs off

🔒 Movement Restrictions

Prevent the egg from being hidden or smuggled through automation.

• Hoppers and dispensers are fully blocked
• Configure which containers the egg can be stored in
• Optionally disallow ender chests

🚀 Quick Start

1. Download DragonEggTracker.jar
2. Drop it into /plugins
3. Restart your server
4. (Optional) Edit config.yml to tune buffs, containers, and the compass recipe

That's it. Zero configuration required to start.
