Create: Deco Dimmable Cage Lamps (Create: DDCL)
Have you ever used Create: Deco cage lamps? They are a very good decoration block for your builds. However, i wanted to use them as night safety lamps or as low light level signal lamps in my factories. So i created this mod for doing so.
You can adjust the light level by varying the redstone power input (which you can do with comparators or i also suggest using the sequenced pulse generator from Create: Connected).
The mods adds all deco (v2.1.0) lamps in dimmable version in red, blue, green and yellow color. Specifically:
- Andesite
- Brass
- Copper (also old create 0.5.1 version)
- Industrial Iron
- Iron
- Zinc
There's also gold and netherite in the mod files if i remember, let me know if you want me to add these two materials.
I suggest EMI/JEI for the craftings.
NOTE: The mod is compatible with Euphoria Patches. See Euphoria github.
How to install Euphoria Patches
Requirements:
Settings:
When you have those mods installed, go in Settings -> Video Settings -> Shader Packs and select Complementary Reimagined/Unbound + Euphoria Patches.
Then go in Shader Pack Settings -> Configure Euphoria Patches -> Popular Settings.
Here set Euphoria Colored Lighting to "Screen Space" and activate "Advanced Color Tracing".
You can disable the advanced tracing but the light will have strange behaviour, like for the copper red lamp with the old texture, the light will be yellow/white and not red.
This can be laggy on low end devices, set it low if you have low fps. Obviously you can tweak the settings as you wish.
You don't see the colored lights?
It can be that the support is not in the latest release yet.
To fix this, first install the requirements above and load the game (check if the Complementary Reimagined/Unbound + Euphoria Patches shaders is there (it should be).
Then, go in the Euphoria properties files github, search the green icon "Code" and then "Download ZIP".
When you've done that, extract and open the zip, you should see a blockProperties folder. Copy that folder and then enter the game -> Settings -> Video Settings -> Shader Packs -> Open Shader Packs Folder.
Here you should see a folder (not .ZIP) with Euphoria Patches. Open it and search the blockProperties folder. Then just paste the one you copied where there's the original and replace the files.
Remember to reload the shaders!
Starting from version 1.0.1 this mod now requires Create: Deco and Create!
Important: this mod REUSES some of the deco assets, which should be allowed by their license.
