🛠 2.4.0 – Mod Updates, Additions & Removals, Config Cleanup, Performance Improvements, and Minecraft 1.21.10 Update

This update focuses on cleaning up the mod list, improving stability, and updating the pack for Minecraft 1.21.10.
Several mods have been removed or added, most configs have been cleaned up, and you may notice a significant FPS boost. On my machine, FPS increased by about 30% compared to 2.3.9 (results may vary a lot).

• Optimized backup system to reduce long launch delays (10+ minutes).

🔄 Mod Updates

All mods are now updated to their latest 1.21.10 versions, including:

• Packcore
• SkyHanni, SkyOcean, SkyBlock Overhaul, Firmament, Skyblocker
• Sodium, Lithium, Iris
• ChatPatches, REI, ModMenu
• Many other QoL and performance mods

(Too many small updates to list every version; everything now supports 1.21.10.)

• SkyBlock Tweaks (SBT) – low usage
• Very Many Players – no client-side performance boost
• ThreadTweak – not updated

➕ Mods Added

• Odin – SkyBlock-Dungeon-focused features
• Ixeris – off-thread event polling for better performance
• ModernFix – faster load times, reduced memory usage
• Better Block Entities – improved block entity rendering performance

🎨 Updated Resource Packs

• SkyBlock Dark UI – updated for 1.21.10
• Looshy – 0.9.8 → 0.9.9

⚙️ Config Update 2.4.0

• Removed configs for deleted mods
• Added default configs for new mods
• Minor layout and compatibility tweaks for existing configs
• SkyHanni config remade from scratch: cleaned up for all resolutions, removed account data, and should cause fewer issues

It’s recommended to apply the default config again if you’re updating from 2.3.9 and haven’t made any significant changes to your configs.

To do this:

1. Open the configuration menu (button in the bottom corner of the main menu).
2. Select the file matching your resolution from the list.
3. Apply it.

If you have made changes yourself, this step is not necessary, as applying the default config will reset your custom settings.

🛠 Troubleshooting & Tips

• First launch after updating may take longer than usual.
• If Minecraft freezes while loading, wait a moment before closing and check logs for hints.
• If Modrinth doesn’t show the update, refresh the instance page.
