Yun's Weather is a visual client-side mod for Minecraft: Java Edition that reimagines the original weather effects for a refreshing new look. It mimics real-world weather in a stylized, atmospheric, and aesthetic way, striking a perfect balance between visual beauty and immersion.

✨ FEATURES

Atmospheric & Physical Interaction

  • Global Wind Influence: Environment particles are now fully compatible with the global wind system.
  • Thermal Steam: When magma blocks are underwater, wind-affected steam will generate on the water surface (rendered only in loaded chunks).
  • Dynamic Rain Splashes: Rain hitting walls now generates realistic splash particles.
  • Refined Clouds: Cloud rendering has been overhauled for better transparency and a lighter, more natural feel.

Ecosystem & Water Effects

  • Dynamic Ripples:

  • Pointed Dripstone: Water droplets falling from dripstone into water now create ripples.

  • High Seagrass: When the top of tall seagrass is near the surface, it has a chance to generate surface ripples.

  • Submerged Life: Seagrass underwater will occasionally produce bubbles, enhancing the underwater atmosphere.

  • Biome-Specific Water: Water colors now dynamically shift based on the biome.

Advanced Compatibility (VS2 & Create)

  • Structural Rain Collision: Rain now correctly interacts with Valkyrien Skies 2 ships and Create mechanical structures.
  • Side-Hit Effects: When rain hits the side of a hull or moving structure, it triggers corresponding splash particles for maximum immersion.

ROADMAP

The following features are currently under development:

  • [ ] Full Color Customization: Custom colors for all biomes (Sunset, Sunrise, Underwater, Sky, and Fog colors).
  • [ ] Dynamic Fog System: A fog system that shifts based on specific weather types.
  • [ ] 3D Stereo Wind: Atmospheric wind sound effects that change with the environment.

You are free to use Yun's Weather in any modpack you desire. However, please be aware of potential compatibility issues as this mod modifies core rendering aspects.
