Changelog
Night Lights 1.2.0
New Blocks
Dimmable Light — Panel light with 4 brightness levels. Click to increase intensity, Shift+Click to turn off. Crafted with 3x Quartz Block + 2x Glowstone Dust + Redstone.
Emergency Light — Automatically turns on when hostile mobs are within 16 blocks. Shift+Click to toggle between automatic and manual mode. Crafted with Iron + Glowstone + Redstone + Daylight Detector.
Light Sensor — Automatically controls nearby lights within an 8-block radius, checking every 2 seconds. Two modes: Night mode turns lights on at nighttime, Dark mode turns lights on whenever the area is dark (works underground too). Shift+Click to switch between modes. Crafted with 3x Quartz + Daylight Detector + 2x Redstone.
New Items
Portable Lantern — A handheld light source. Hold in your main hand for full brightness (level 15), or in your off hand for a dimmer ambient glow (level 10). Compatible with LambDynamicLights — if installed, the lantern emits true dynamic light that moves with you.
Changes
Wall Switch — Redstone support — The Wall Switch now responds to redstone signals (levers, buttons, comparators) in addition to player clicks.
Wall Switch — Channels — Shift+Click any electric light or switch to assign it a channel (1–8). A switch only controls lights on the same channel. Channel 0 means no channel and responds to all switches, which is the default behavior.
Electric lights — Click sound — All modern lights now play a soft click sound when turned on or off, including when triggered by a switch or the Control item.
Candle lights — Extinguish sound — Medieval candle-type lights (5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12) now play an extinguish sound when blown out with an empty hand.
Medieval Light 9 & 10 — now fire lights — These lights now behave like candles: ignite with Flint and Steel, extinguish with Flint and Steel or empty hand. Emit flame particles. Not controlled by the Wall Switch.
Translations
Added full language support for 10 languages: Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese Simplified, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Polish.
Bug Fixes
Incorrect block codec on several Medieval Lights — Medieval Light 1 and others had their codec pointing to the wrong class, which could cause world loading issues.
