Update trailers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LapW90V0kYg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99UYpWIuIQo
Finally, the hardest and story-heavy update is ready! Prepare for the one last fight! And meetigng with old friends(?) Since there’s a lot of story content here, the changelog will be split into several parts, and the further you go, the more spoilers there will be. Read accordingly, depending on how much you want to know about the update before playing it
Unfortunately, due to a lack of time, I didn’t manage to add some items that are supposed to come after the story’s finale, they’ll be added soon, so this isn’t the end of the Arkemers!
To start with, here’s the spoiler-free section. Just a guide on how to begin the new update’s storyline. The update is built around a quest, which means you need to make sure you don’t have any other active quests to start with. Next, this update starts after previous mod’s finale. Therefore, Unahzaal must be defeated. And finally, the new content. After defeating Unahzaal in the overworld, you’ll see small structures in the sky. You need to reach them and activate them using Ageagoria — an item that has been dropping from Unahzaal for five years and is only now being put to use, since this update was planned a very long time ago.
This will start the story of the new update, and from here on out there will be spoilers with walkthrough tips.
When you activate a structure with Ageagoria, a dungeon will appear that you’ll need to complete. You’ll figure everything out as you go, and the quest NPCs will guide you. There will be a total of 6 dungeons with different challenges. Again, the NPCs will tell you where to find them. The only thing I really want to prepare you for is the battle against the final boss, Tetragrammaton.
Tetragrammaton Battle Let’s start with the recommended gear. Great Emblem is MANDATORY. Without it, there’s a high chance you’ll be one shoted Great Unahzaal Armor and the final weapon corresponding to your class (Restored Astral for the Warrior, Rocket's Gun for the Ranged, Bloody Anchor for the Mage, Curious Eye for the Summoner) The Ultimate Two would also be a good addition, as it has immunity to many types of damage and can stun bosses when they attack you
Upon entering the final arena, the Tetragrammaton will begin summoning bosses.
First, he will summon the boss Quetzalcoatl. Its mechanics are as follows: it is a segmented boss. Only its head can take damage. The segments can shoot and summon mobs. If you damage the segments enough, they will stop functioning and lose their abilities. Quetzalcoatl’s head has a rapid-fire attack where it fires very quickly for a short period of time. It also has a pull attack. Be prepared to be pulled in for damage. You can avoid this by keeping a safe distance during the fight or by getting stuck in blocks.
Let’s also talk abour boss’s minions:
- Arkemer Warbot - a mob that simply attacks at close range
- Arkemer Wargun - a ranged mob
- Arkemer Band - a mob that splits into 3 more mobs upon death
- Arkemer Healing Tank - the most important of the minions; it can very quickly heal all Arkemer bosses within a large radius and attack you. These should be destroyed first
Also, when any of the minions are near the bosses, they grant a small regeneration effect to the bosses
When Quetzalcoatl is at 50% health or lower, a second boss Chac-Mool will be summoned. Chac-Mool will also summon bosses when he reaches 50% HP, so the number of bosses in the arena by the end of the fight depends entirely on you, but it is recommended to defeat Quetzalcoatl before moving on to Chac-Mool so you can focus on the other bosses Chak-Mool primarily attacks at close range but also has a hammer attack. When he strikes the ground, he attacks everyone within a certain radius, knocks them into the air, and stuns them. Chak-Mool can also grant himself a speed boost for a short time. Chak-Mool can also begin summoning projectiles in the form of black holes falling from the sky, which explode and inflict Sun Flames and Aetherium Poison effects.
When Chak-Mool has 50% or less HP, he summons two bosses at once Adam and Eve. It is recommended to finish off Chak-Mool first or start with Eve, as she is the most dangerous boss at this point. Eve fires slow-moving projectiles, but they still deal a lot of damage and also heal Eve very effectively. Be even more wary of Eve’s melee attacks—they deal even more damage; a few seconds is enough to die from them. Eve can also teleport to the player. It’s best to dodge the teleport to avoid a melee attack. Eve doesn’t teleport instantly and has an animation before teleporting; she becomes two-dimensional and then disappears. If you move during this, she will most likely not have time to attack you.
Adam has only ranged attacks. When his arrows hit a mob or a block, they create Radioactive Clouds, and the rain from these clouds attacks everyone beneath them
When Adam and Eve have less than 50% HP, the final boss Tetragrammaton himself is summoned. He has both melee and ranged attacks, which also summon Radioactive Clouds and heal Tetragrammaton. He can also summon Black Holes. When the Tetragrammaton has 50% or less HP, he will drop to one knee. During this time, he cannot be attacked and will regenerate. A passage will open behind his throne, which you must rush through. There you will find the Arkemer Servers. You must destroy them. As soon as the Tetragrammaton finishes regenerating to full health, it will teleport you to its location and close the passage. If you haven’t managed to destroy all the Servers, it will kneel again and open the passage. You need to repeat this until you destroy all the Servers. After that, the Tetragrammaton will no longer kneel, and you will be able to kill it
